Located in the foggy mountains of Aptos, this homeowner’s former deck had struggled with moisture and rot issues. When planning your new deck, it’s important to ensure that its substructure can guarantee safety and lasting beauty through decades of outdoor conditions. Our recommendation to ensure a long lasting deck was to use the Trex Elevation steel frame system.
Materials selected for this build are as follows:
Decking: Trex Transcend Tiki Torch deckboards, trimmed with square edged boards and finished with matching 12” Tiki Torch fascia.
Hand Railing: Trex Transcend railing with a square edge Tiki Torch top cap.
Framing: Trex Elevations steel frame system
As a Trex Platinum installer, we know this deck will not rot, warp, crack or be devoured by termites. Period. However, Trex backs all of our work with a 5 year workmanship warranty.
